Has life felt different since your accident?

You may be recovering physically, but perhaps you just don't feel like yourself.

  • You may feel anxious, low, irritable, overwhelmed or unsure about what you are experiencing.
  • You may have difficulty sleeping, concentrating or feeling comfortable driving again.
  • Or perhaps everyday life has simply become harder.

Do you feel confused, overwhelmed or unable to get things done? Things that once seemed ordinary — preparing a meal, getting the kids to school, keeping up with appointments, organizing your day, planning an event — may now feel difficult to organize and carry through.

Pain, fatigue, changes in mood and difficulty thinking or concentrating can all affect how you manage your day.

You do not have to wait until things feel unmanageable to seek support.

How counselling can help

Counselling that is supportive, practical and goal-focused.

Counselling can help you understand what you are experiencing and develop practical ways of moving forward.

Depending on what matters to you, we may work on managing anxiety or changes in mood, coping with pain and changes in your abilities, rebuilding confidence, returning to everyday routines and activities, managing demands that feel overwhelming, or preparing emotionally for returning to work.

Sessions may include practical strategies, exercises and resources you can use between appointments.

The goal is to help you feel more able to understand what is happening, manage your day and move toward the life that matters to you.
